Bio
Sophomore at UCLA majoring in Psychology and Linguistics with a career goal of becoming a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).

My goal in life is to aid others, and with becoming an SLP, I can do that to a greater and much more impactful extent. Specifically aiding those who’s demographic backgrounds don’t allow them to overcome their speech impediments because they either don’t know there are resources out there to help them, or they don’t know how to find and access these resources. Additionally, in order to help a patient overcome a speech impediment, specifically if they’re a child, their caregivers must be armed with the tools and knowledge of how to help them. Yet, if the SLP is not able to create a comfortable space where the caregiver can fully communicate and express their concerns with them and understand how to best help their child improve at home, the child’s progress becomes interrupted. Communication is key to success, but if someone is not guided on how to communicate efficiently and clearly, then they are already placed at a lower chance to succeed and my goal is to close this bridge and guide them to the success they don’t believe is at reach.
