Stuttering Scholarship Alliance (SSA)

Providing a voice to the voiceless

Impact Stories

Zerin is a 26 year-old asylum seeker from Bangladesh

The support from SSA has been life-changing. Without it, I would not be able to afford my therapy, and my stutter would get the best of me. Now, I can pursue my dream of becoming a doctor, and people will realize that what I have to say is important as well. I’m currently leading awareness campaigns to increase the participation of Middle-Eastern women in STEM.

Zane is a 9 year-old boy from Chicago

The therapy from SSA has helped me say what I want to say. I like meeting other boys and girls who stutter and am better at saying my name. I want to become a dancer, and the therapy has changed my life.
